With The Moses®, there is nothing in the mouth that restricts the tongue from advancing forward. Tongue space in fact, increases, and prevents collapse of tongue on the airway.
There are 3 main parts to The Moses®. It consists of separate flexible retainers that help prevent tooth movement and act as an anchor for the entire maxillary arch. The buccal mounted advancement screws provide an open anterior space for the tongue. The base of the device is specifically designed so that the acrylic guides and stimulates the tongue to a protrusive or anterior position.
