Your first visit to our office will include a thorough exam by the dentist, after which an assessment of your overall dental health will be determined and a preventative treatment plan will be recommended. Once discussed with your dentist, you will come in for regular check-ups which may include the following:

X-Rays

A full set of x-rays are taken and are crucial for detecting the state of bone loss (if any), development deviations, abscesses, teeth coming in at the wrong position, tumors, and other issues hiding within the teeth and gums. X-rays will help your dentist discover any blooming health issues and help determine a treatment plan to help improve or maintain your smile.

Cleaning and Polishing

The cleaning will include the removal of tartar, which has hardened on the teeth over time, as well as remove the sticky plaque that has formed over the teeth. Plaque is a formation of bacteria and buildup that can eventually cause inflammation to the gums. Your hygienist will safely remove this buildup and polish your teeth to remove stains.

Gum Evaluation and Treatment

Your gums and bone supporting your teeth will be evaluated for disease.

Oral Cancer Screening

The lips, tongue, throat, neck and gums are examined for any possible signs of oral cancer. Detecting signs of oral cancer early can save time and money.

Investigation of Existing Work

Your dentist will check current crowns, bridges, fillings etc. for any damage, or to evaluate the need for replacement.
